The short version

A sourcer's job is to find people who fit a role and start the conversation. That is the work Expa does. You describe the role in plain English, and Expa builds a shortlist, reaches out to the people you keep, has the conversation, and hands you the ones who say yes.

Cost

An in-house sourcer typically costs $5,000 to $10,000 a month, and a retainer for the same work lands in a similar range.

Expa costs $100 a month, which includes 100 managed candidate outreach. Beyond that you can buy more, with a 50-credit minimum.

Describing a role, running the search and reviewing your shortlist are free. You pay when you approve candidates.

How the work gets done

There are three steps.

  • You say who you want, in plain English or by pasting a job post.
  • Expa builds a shortlist. Everyone is included by default and you tap to remove anyone you do not want.
  • Nothing goes out until you launch it. Expa then reaches out to the people who remain and has the conversation.

Control

You see every candidate on the shortlist before anything is sent, and nothing goes out until you launch it. Anyone you remove is not contacted, and you can put them back if you change your mind.

When a sourcer may still fit

If you have steady hiring volume and want a person embedded in your team who knows your culture and manages relationships over years, a dedicated sourcer is a different kind of resource. Expa is the better fit when you want the sourcing and outreach done without adding headcount.
